Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ To Reportedly Start Filming In February

Since the beginning of 2019 Marvel Studios’ fans been wondering about the slate of 2020 that put projects like The Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3 on hiatus and no news of upcoming movies in that same year. but recently we have learned that Marvel is giving what the fans been asking for, A solo Black Widow movie. and it might start filming even sooner than expected.

according to the report done by The GWW and Omega Underground, February 28 marks the start of production. and The Hashtag Show pitched in as well with her own report saying the production will continue during March, so there isn’t a fixed date to when the filming will wrap up.

no official comments were released by either Disney or Marvel Studios, concerning the production rumor.

But fear not fans. pieces are being moved across the board, linking Cate Shortland to the directors chair and Jac Shaeffer to the script. although no plot details were confirmed, but rumors suggest that the movie will happen in 2006 (MCU timeline) before the events that started everything which is 2008’s Iron man. also the film magazine production Weekly released last year a movie synopsis about Black Widow saying:

“At birth the Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanova) is given to the KGB, which grooms her to become its ultimate operative. When the U.S.S.R. breaks up, the government tries to kill her as the action movies to present-day New York, where she is a freelance operative. The standalone film will find Romanoff living in the United States 15 years after the fall of the Soviet Union.”

What we know thus far is Scarlett Johansson is still reprising her role as Natasa Romanoff in her first solo outing. where she debuted in The MCU as Tony Stark’s assistant in Iron man 2 to later reveal herself as an agent of Shield answering only to Nick Fury. and since then she is been a well established character in the MCU.

Black Widow is going to mark Marvel Studios’ second female led movie. along side Captain Marvel that holds the first. which is to premier March 8, while Black Widow sometime during 2020.
